Romano Solano Double Basses

This is an interesting Solano double bass, made as an custom order in 1999. The work is typical Solano showing a free form building technique and lots of character. We are currently trying to decide between letting it go as is (5 String) at $8,000.00 or modifying to a standard 4 string for $10,000.00 with Sloan tuners and custom brass plates, like we did for the Prescott.
