Here is a Torajiro Sakomoto bass built in Tokyo, 1983. This lovely soloist instrument was originally owned by Gary Karr, and bears all the hallmarks of a Karr bass: slim and compact, with a narrow gamba upper bout, large bass bin, short scale and an E-flat neck. Elegant tiger flame throughout the ribs, back, neck and scroll. Wonderfully resonant and lively under the bow, a perfect choice for solo or chamber setting. Impeccable provenance with only masterful classical artist owners.
