Five String Upgrade for Your Upton, 5 string Double Bass

With this 5 string upgrade to our Upton Bass upright basses, we are not merely converting our 4 string bass into a five string upright bass. In a sense we may be, but only in the fact that we apply the same energy and attention to detail to each double bass that we make. This 5 string upgrade will give a new UB double bass a more robust sound and feel.  It will possess a larger fingerboard, a more robust neck and bass bar and different graduations for the top (if carved). The peg box will be made to accommodate five tuners, and the tailpiece is specifically created for five strings. All of the setup is done to balance a 5 string bass in the Upton Bass style we all know and love.
