What's important to you? What catches your eye? What looks good to you? Everyone has different tastes, and there is a upright bass that is just right for those tastes!

The models are a UB Standard, a Shen SB80 and a Engelhardt ES1.
(the only difference between the SB80 & the SB100 is the top layer of laminate on the belly & inlayed purfling) |

The Shen and the Engelhardt have spray finishes while the UB has a hand applied varnish. |

The UB bass accentuates a more stylistic ff hole and is a small indicator of the extra attention we pay to our basses. |

The scroll of the UB bass has been designed to meet the demands of modern strings with a modern approach on the classic Italian design. |

Both the UB & the Engelhardt have genuine Rubner tuners. Both models of the Shen have imitation plate tuners, although the SB100 has a higher grade than the SB80 (pictured), they are not as high quality as the Rubner's. |

The volute on the UB line of basses has a modern touch on the classic Italian scroll. The Engelhardt has glued on ears. |

Both the UB & the Shen have more refinement to the carving with the UB taking a modern approach and the Shen taking a classic approach, while the Engelhardt cuts aesthetic corners. |
