Hello, I picked up my new Hawkes Hybrid bass Friday, just in time to play a gig with it that night. This bass, is without a doubt, the best sounding bass I have ever held in my hands! The set up that I requested was perfect. I have played many basses over the years, but nothing comes close to the sound of this one! The bass has not only great volume, but the clarity of tone is unbelievable. I could tell while just tuning it up that it had a tone unlike any bass I have played before. I got many compliments on it during and after the gig by fellow musicians and audience members. One of the band members played it and remarked about how easy it was to play. Others talked about the great projection that it had. Needless to say, I am very happy with my bass! The customer service I received was also outstanding from the time I ordered it, to the time it was shipped. I hope others can read this review before making their decision on what brand of bass to buy, it will keep them from making a terrible mistake. Thank all of you at Upton Bass for your great product and great customer service.
