All of our UB double basses are handmade and can vary in dimensions.  The following measurements are "target" numbers but can vary from instrument to instrument.  Due to the nature of building in the Italian style using an inside form, measurements can be customized to your needs...please inquire with us about commissioning your UB double bass.

UB "Orchestra" Model Basses:

Body Length: 45 inches

Upper Bout Width: 21 inches

C Bout Width: 15 inches

Lower Bout Width: 27 inches

Rib Taper: 8 inches at lower block to 7 or 5.5  inches at neck block

String Length: 42 inches to 41.5 inches standard (41 inch available as an upgrade)

UB "Solo" Model Basses:

Body Length: 44 inches

Upper Bout Width: 19 inches

C Bout Width: 14 inches

Lower Bout Width: 27 inches

Rib Taper: 8 inches at lower block to 7 or 5.5 inches at neck block

String Length/Neck Length: 42 inches to 41.5 inches standard (41 inch available as an upgrade)
