Rosin for Double Bass Bows

Choosing rosin for your double bass may seem confusing with all of the options available. We at Upton Bass are here to meet your double bass rosin needs and to help you find the perfect solution.

Rosin is the most inexpensive way to experiment and tweak your sound, and we carry some of the best products with regard to their particular specialty.

Some of our rosins are excellent in certain climates and humidity’s. Others are designed for certain types of playing style or level of expertise.

We encourage everyone to try out a couple different types of rosin because finding the right rosin is not an exact science, but much more of a personal preference. When you can try out a few different types for such a small cost relative to any other adjustment on the instrument… why not? Every musician has their personal preference.

If you live in a moderate northern climate, you may prefer a softer amber rosin such as Pops Premium Double Bass Rosin, which is very well regarded. If you live in a southern climate or prefer a little bit of a harder rosin, the Jade Solo Double Bass Rosin is a wonderful choice.
