Upton Bass is proud to introduce our Double Bass Rental Program. Whether you are an advancing student, amateur player, or a beginner who’s always wanted to learn double bass, the Upton Bass Double Bass Rental Program has something to offer you. We offer our standard upright basses for long term rental programs, and can typically offer vintage basses for shorter term, day by day rentals. No poor quality instruments here! Each and every rental instrument is created and set up by the skilled luthiers at Upton Bass, and is guaranteed to sound and play beautifully. 

After you decide to rent one of our signature double basses, we will create for you a brand new UB Standard upright bass.  Our turnaround time for making these double basses varies on the time of year, but on average we could promise a timeframe of about 6 weeks to complete it for the excited new renter.  Call for details and a timeline!

A "De La Ville" double bass bag and your choice of either a German or French style UB Workshop bow are included in the rental charge of $125 per month, other accessories available contact us for details 860 535 9399. At the beginning of the rental contract, we take the first and last month's rent, as well as a $125 maintenance fee making a total deposit of $375.

While our rental program is a 1 year minimal contract, it is not a rent-to-own program.  Discounts may be applied if you decide to buy your rented UB double bass at the end of your contract, so give us a call for details!
