nice string set! am currently digging the sound of the helicore hybrids (medium gauge) on my Upton bass hybrid. after trying obligatos (nice tone, but the low notes on the E string just disappeared in the mix when playing with the band) and dominants (great low end and growl, but broke too often), i'm pleasantly surprised with the helicore hybrids. pizz tone is warm and articulate, and arco is smooth. requires a bit more bow arm than obligatos and the dominants, at least for me. bonus: great price.
